Earth Day Food & Wine tempts your tastebuds this Saturday with a 100 percent chance of awesomeness!
You’ll be smiling when you see all the bites of yumminess our local chefs and caterers have cooked up for you. Here’s a very short list, just to get your taste buds tempted, teased, and tantalized.
Flora & Fauna Fine Food – Korean-Inspired Fried Bee Wench Farms Chicken with a Soy Sesame Glaze and Pickled Veggies. (When we say this chicken tastes like chicken, we mean it tastes FABulous.)
Two Cooks Catering — Farmer’s Market Strawberry Sorbet with Cabernet Simple Syrup & Rose Water. (Totally counts as a fruit serving, right?)
Chaparral Gardens – Golden Masala slaw with naan. (Naan Naan Naan Naan, Hey Hey Hey, HELLO!)
Thomas Hill Organics – Housemade rye crisps topped with mascarpone, radish and spring peas. (Peas may we have another?)
Le Vigne Wines– Paired with Rumiano Dry Jack Cheese. (Dating whey back to 1921, this is California’s oldest family-owned cheese company.)
Talley Farms – Sarah Matthew’s famous Napa Cabbage Salad. (Did you know that Napa Chinese Cabbage is the second most nutrient rich vegetable after watercress? We thought not; you’re welcome.)
Novo Restaurant – Green Gold Organic Farm’s gold beets with chives and arugula on crostini with Feta cheese and a citrus avocado-honey vinaigrette. (Oh yes we can do a little dance to these beets just fine, thank you.)
The Hurricane Kitchen (an Earth Day newbie) – Skewered Sriracha Chicken with avocado, lime and dirty ranch dipping sauce AND Grilled Jumbo Prawn with creole “crystal” remoulade served on shaved cucumber salad AND Venison Carpaccio served on sourdough crostini with blackberry/peach compote and fresh mint AND Wild Mushroom Crostini with ricotta & bleu cheese and minced garlic & shallots. (Okay, Hurricane Kitchen, we must admit you had us at “dirty ranch dipping sauce”. That should totally have its own hashtag, right?)
Well kids, there ya have it. That’s just the tip of the foodie iceberg awaiting you at Earth Day Food & Wine on April 23, so what are YOU waiting for? Only a limited number of tickets are still available for this scrumptious event, so get on it and don’t miss out!
