If you’re coming to Earth Day Food & Wine Weekend 2015, you’re in for an experience unlike any other! The Udsen family at Castoro Cellars promise a flawless event, perfectly executed in a spacious and breathtaking setting.
It’s our second year at Castoro Cellars, and their venue has proven to be a perfect match for our easygoing Earth Day vibe. In fact, this family-owned winery has been committed to sustainable practices for over two-dozen years. Their 372-acres of organic vineyards is the largest organically certified block on the Central Coast, and ALL of their vineyards have the coveted SIP Certification.
Basically, Castoro’s got cred. They walk the talk, and their dedication shows in every aspect of their stunning property and in their award-winning wines.
“We wanted to get involved in Earth Day because it’s fun and unique, but we also believe in supporting our community—especially in sustainability,” said Luke Udsen. “Our location is a perfect fit, and it’s been an ideal spot for our own outdoor concerts and other events. Hosting Earth Day Food & Wine Weekend is our pleasure, and we look forward to sharing in the fun with everyone.”
You’ll see Luke at the event. He and the folks at Castoro take turns pouring sustainable, tasting-room only wines at their booth and stopping by to taste the creations of their favorite chefs, wineries and breweries. “It’s one-stop tasting for everything amazing on the Central Coast,” said Luke. “I’ll be trying the food from Artisan, for sure, and I always look forward to wines from Halter Ranch. I also love that there’s beer here. Why go anywhere else? It’s all happening here at Earth Day Food & Wine Weekend.”
